Job Description

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine inspections ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facilitys equipment machinery and infrastructure by performing preventive maintenance troubleshooting and necessary repairs. This role requires a handson approach excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections maintenance and repairs on HVAC including plumbing electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on facility equipment to reduce downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Address work orders and troubleshoot issues related to building infrastructure such as lighting doors and general repairs.
  • Assist with plumbing tasks including fixing leaks replacing pipes and maintaining restrooms.
  • Repair and maintain electrical systems including outlets switches and lighting fixtures.
  • Monitor and maintain heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Conduct minor carpentry painting and drywall repairs as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major issues to management.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors when specialized repairs or installations are needed.


Qualifications / Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role/environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of electrical plumbing HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Certification in HVAC plumbing or electrical systems preferred.
  • Experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenance preferred.
  • Occasionally required to work evenings weekends or be oncall for emergencies.
