The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a systemled operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high quality low cost innovative communitybased ambulatory care. This work stems from Mass General Brighams unified system strategy to bring health care closer to patients while lowering total health care costs. The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings including primary care specialty care behavioral and mental health and urgent care both digitally as well as at physical locations in Massachusetts New Hampshire and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy imaging cardiac testing and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites.

We are seeking a fulltime 40hour Nurse Practitioner to support one of our Family Medicine offices located at 137 Main St Medford MA. Weekly schedules consist of 36 hours of patientfacing clinical time and 4 hours of administrative time. The NP will work on site the following days and times:

MondayFriday hours are between 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (with some flexibility)

Our office provides physical examinations routine health screenings and preventative care for pediatrics and adults. The goal is to identify and control patients health risk factors before they become problems. We diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses and promote general health disease prevention and overall wellbeing.

The NP will support the practices panel of patients enhancing practice operations increasing patient volume and efficiency while also providing excellent patient care and experience. This includes traditional primary care visits and same day sick appointments. With this model providers work autonomously to the top of their licensure while also functioning as part of a team.

Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients medical and/or surgical including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. May also perform additional duties such as precepting a small group of learners.

Essential Functions
Provides direct care counseling and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory inpatient operative and/or procedural setting.
Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
Orders interprets and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
Develops appropriate plans of care and followup based on the outcomes of diagnostic laboratory and physical examination findings.
Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes procedure notes operative notes and discharge summaries.
Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.

Experience
2 years of licensed nurse practitioner experience required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings.
Ability to maintain quality control standards.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to interpret adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients medical staff and the public.
