The Gerber ED is a certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center. There are over 20 care spaces to treat patients with minor to major medical and traumatic emergencies. Interdisciplinary team members collaborate closely to provide relationshipbased care for our patients and their loved ones. Gerber ED has over 29000 visits/year and ranks highly in patient experience and throughput measures. We value teamwork culture and process improvement from each member of our teams!
The RN Supervisor position is forty hours weekly. Two shifts are administrative 3:00 p.m. 11:00 p.m.; two shifts are clinical 7:00 p.m. 7:30 a.m.

Scope of work
Assumes shift accountability for managing supervising and coordinating the operational and financial effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing service/ unit of the hospital. Some service lines may require the ability to be available for oncall to better support the nursing service/unit. Additionally Inpatient Supervisors may be required to fillin for the hospital supervisor as needed. Key responsibilities include assisting with the following: clinical support unit based goal setting program development fiscal management resource allocation standards of care policy and procedure development and interpretation performance improvement performance correction and coaching and mentoring.
Corewell Health Nurse Supervisors are REQUIRED to obtain their Nursing Administration or Professional/Specialty Certification within 12 months of assuming the role or within 12 months of achieving eligibility to sit for the exam if not eligible upon hire in to the role.
