Job Description
Job Title: Hair Transplant Technician
Reports To: Lead Surgeon/Clinic Manager
Job Overview:
A Hair Transplant Technician assists the lead surgeon in performing hair transplant procedures including follicular unit extraction (FUE) and follicular unit transplantation (FUT). The technician is responsible for ensuring the patients comfort preparing grafts and maintaining a sterile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Greet and prepare patients for the procedure.
Provide detailed preoperative and postoperative care instructions.
Monitor patients comfort and wellbeing during the procedure.
Procedure Assistance:
Assist the surgeon in hair transplant procedures (FUE and FUT).
Carefully extract prepare and implant follicular units.
Maintain precision and attention to detail during graft handling.
Sterilization and Maintenance:
Ensure all instruments and equipment are sterilized and in good working condition.
Maintain a clean and sterile environment in the operating room.
Follow infection control protocols and safety standards.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information.
Document the number of grafts extracted and implanted.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient procedures.
Communicate effectively with team members to provide the best patient care.
Patient FollowUp:
Assist in followup appointments and assess the progress of healing.
Provide support and guidance to patients during the recovery period.
Qualifications:
Education: Certification in Medical Assisting Nursing or a related field; specialized training in hair transplant procedures is preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in hair restoration or similar surgical procedures is highly desirable.
Skills:
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fastpaced highstress environment.
Proficiency in maintaining sterile techniques.
Working Conditions:
Environment: Clinical setting operating room.
