We are seekingCivil Mechanical and Electrical Studentsfor ourCanadian Industrial Divisionto work asEngineering Studentfor our project sites located inAlberta. We are looking for students that are availablefor 4 to8 monthsstarting in September2022.
As an Engineering Student and depending on your assigned project you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
Responsibilities
- Assisting with project planning scheduling progress monitoring and cost control.
- Participation in project meetings.
- Reviewing drawings.
- Submit requests for information.
- Assisting with the identification and resolution of field technical issues.
- Acting as an ambassador for the various safety campaigns.
- Conduct field safety inspections.
- Communicating changes with trades staff.
- Setup / Maintain record keeping.
- Adhoc duties as required.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree or diploma in engineering with a mechanical electrical or civil major.
- Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
- Application of various computer software programs will be required including Microsoft Suite. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam is an asset.
- Selfmotivated.
- Multidiscipline mindset.
Working Conditions:
- Successful applicants must be able to provide their own CSA approved steel toed boots and be willing to take and pass a PreAccess Alcohol & Drug Test.
- Shift rotation requires a 10 day on 4 day off schedule.
