You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are looking for an experienced Industrial & Utilities Engineer with a strong background in industrial infrastructure and construction to join our team.
Reporting to the CAPEX Manager of the Business Unit Transmission the successful candidate will be based at our headquarters in Milan and will frequently travel to various Prysmian plants.
The Industrial & Utilities Engineer will play an important role in supporting investment projects aimed at enhancing the capacity and capabilities of Prysmian plants. This includes overseeing the permitting design construction and optimisation of civil infrastructure and utilities for production lines and plant buildings while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Who Are We Looking For
As Industrial & Utilities Engineer your primary responsibility will be overseeing the civil engineering aspects of the expansion of the Groups manufacturing plants and production lines. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the seamless integration of utilities and infrastructures into both new and existing production environments including the construction of new facilities and the upgrading of existing ones.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the permitting process for new infrastructure projects
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams on the design and planning of additional civil infrastructure for manufacturing plants.
Work with external consultants and subject matter experts to finalize executive projects and associated cost estimates.
Coordinate with electrical mechanical and automation engineers to ensure the seamless integration of civil infrastructure with both existing and new production systems and technologies.
Provide technical support and guidance in the planning and of civil works including foundations structural elements utilities and site preparation for both manufacturing environments and ancillary plant systems.
Ensure with the support of consultants and in collaboration with local authorities that all civil works comply with local building codes safety regulations and environmental standards.
Liaise with contractors and suppliers to specify and procure materials equipment and services required for civil works.
Assist the CAPEX team in monitoring ongoing civil works onsite ensuring that project progress aligns with timelines quality standards and safety regulations.
Assess risks related to civil engineering works and identify effective mitigation measures.
Qualifications:
Degree in Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
Strong knowledge of construction processes with 24 years of handson experience in the industry
Experience in the design and construction of foundations buildings and facilities
Understanding of health and safety regulations environmental standards and building codes.
Proficiency in civil engineering software for design and planning.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong problemsolving abilities and a teamoriented mindset.
Proficiency in Italian and English both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages (French German Finnish) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with largescale industrial projects and complex civil works in manufacturing or production environments is a plus.
Knowledge of environmental impact assessments and implementing sustainability measures in construction projects is an advantage.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery
