Plumbing Inspector On Call Troy Area MI

SAFEbuilt has an immediate opening for a highly skilled Plumbing Inspector to join our team. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic motivated selfstarters to work on a variety of assignments. Youll be a member of our highly respected building department team with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Perform field inspections during various stages of construction
- Review plans and specifications for commercial industrial and residential projects to ensure compliance with city state and federal laws and regulations
- Perform Rental Housing inspections in accordance with municipal ordinances and regulations
- Report violations and maintain files/records
- Perform other related duties as required
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Extensive knowledge of local codes and current construction procedures and technology.
- Interpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code compliant solutions
- Must possess the ability to positively interact with the other staff members the general public contractors governmental entities and other clientele
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management organization and attention to detail skills
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and a considerable amount of independent judgment
- Skill in prioritizing and executing assignments with limited supervision. Skill in using independent judgment and discretion.
- Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Michigan Plumbing Inspector license required
- Dual licenses preferred
- Michigan Building Inspector license preferred
- Experience in municipal code inspections
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license with a good driving record
Compensation:SAFEbuilt pays competitive wages and has a 401K.
