Job Description
We are on the lookout for lively vibrant and eager Blast Crew to join our growing Platinum familywe have permanent fulltime positions available within the Bowen and Gailee basins.
Reporting to the Site Supervisor these positions will be offered on a 7:7 even time roster with flexible travel arrangements dependent on site and location.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Dipping priming loading stemming and tiein of blast patterns to achieve daily loading and blasting objectives safely and efficiently
- Ensure the safe use storage security transport and handling of explosives in accordance with all statutory and company procedural requirements
- Operate ancillary equipment (stemming loader etc)
- Work together with the entire blast team to meet daily operational targets
You will have:
- Standard 11
- QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card OR ability to obtain one
- Experience in an opencut mining environment
- RIIBLA201E Support Shotfiring Operations (desirable)
- A cando attitude and excellent communication skills
- Fit healthy and ready to do the hard yards
- The ability to pass a preemployment checks inclusive of medicals and national background checks
