School Nurse
37.5 hours/week 200 days/year)

The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for school nurse positions that may become available within our division for the school year.
Please note this is a continuous recruit posting to build an applicant pool for all schools. As positions become available all qualified applicants with complete application files will be considered. Should a specific location/job be posted you may also be required to apply to that posting.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The School Nurse will assist the Lead Nurse in the organization administration and implementation of school health services and will function as a contributing member of the school health team
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current license to practice as a registered professional nurse or a licensed professional nurse in Virginia
- One year of nursing experience
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid
- Have effective written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with parents and families
- Demonstrate the ability to work and collaborate with other team members
- Ability to be dependable and punctual
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Previous experience in public health or general nursing preferably in school nursing or community health nursing with children
Salary: LPN $39587.40 $71313.60 annual
RN $41566.65 $74880.30 annual
(salary may change due tobudget considerations)
FLSA: Exempt
