Groundskeeper

Job Overview JOB SUMMARY: The School Grounds Keeper will be responsible for the maintenance care and operation of the school districts outdoor spaces including turf athletic fields and related facilities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students staff and the community. This role involves performing routine lawn care seeding fertilizing watering and pest control as well as maintaining and operating power equipment such as mowers tractors and irrigation systems. The Grounds Keeper will also support the districts athletic program by preparing fields for events including field layout and striping and will ensure the cleanliness and safety of open spaces and structures. Additionally the position involves snow removal emergency response and maintaining effective relationships with staff students contractors and the community. The role requires availability for overtime and emergency situations as needed.QUALIFICATIONS: * High School diploma or GED. * Grounds maintenance or custodial experience that demonstrates knowledge of the tasks and functions of the job. Experience with turf care and maintenance of athletic fields preferred. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Ability to lift heavy objects work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. * A valid drivers license and clean driving record.Benefits: This is a fulltime position that aligns with a facility collective bargaining agreement.
