Responsibilities
Noblis is seeking to hire a Data Scientist with an ACTIVE Top Secret with SCI and Polygraph in Chantilly VA
As a Data Scientist with our team you will be working with our federal clients to rapidly develop innovative solutions for our addressing immediate mission challenges. In this role you will work on teams with other data scientists software developers and SMEs to apply the best practices and state of the art data science and machine learning processes. In this position you will develop rapid prototype solutions to mission challenges by leveraging existing opensource models and technologies. Sample topic areas may include object detection data triage search/optimization image/video analysis facial recognition behavior detection and automated discovery.
On our team you will:
- Identify adapt and integrate stateoftheart research and opensource technologies into creative solutions.
- Develop and train new machine learning models.
- Identify curate and process large data sets.
- Research apply analyze and document technical approaches and their outcomes.
- Leverage various computing resources such as GPU clusters and cloudbased compute servers.

- Bachlors degree
- JuniorLevel: 02 years of professional work experience.

- MidLevel: 24 years of professional work experience.
- Compensaton: $80500 $138300
- SeniorLevel: 35 years of professional work experience.
- Compensaton: $88500 $138300
- Expert Level: 5 years of professional work experience.
- Compensaton: $117800 $184100
- Experience using ML and data science packages such as PyTorch TensorFlow or scikitlearn
- Experience leveraging opensource models and adapting them to generate custom solutions
- Able to work onsite in Chantilly VA
- ACTIVE Top Secret with SCI and Full Scope Polygraph
- US Citizenship is required.
Desired Qualifications
Desired skills and knowledge:
- Comfortable using development tools such as VSCode github/gitlab Jira and Confluence
- Familiarity with database systems such as PostgreSQL
- Demonstrated experience working with opensource datasets
- Familiarity with data science best practices and methodologies
- Familiarity with Agile development workflows

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors including but not limited to the combination of education certifications knowledge skills competencies and experience internal and external equity location clearance level as well as contractspecific affordability organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this positionis based on full time status. For part time or oncall staff compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important its just one component of Noblis total compensation package.
