Comstock Park is seeking candidates who display a strong desire and ability to make an impact on students and the greater community both within and outside of the classroom.
SUMMARY:
This person must monitor students to ensure a positive safe environment in various areas of the bus. This person is responsible for enforcing code of conduct policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully an individual will be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily upon completing of the trial period. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations to students and staff.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to push items of 50 lbs. such as moving/rearranging furniture. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and peripheral vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job the employee will occasionally work inside and must be able to work outside for parking lot and bus loading/unloading. The employee must be able to work with the public and other workers. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate to loud. This person will wear clothing in accordance with building policy.
COMPENSATION: In accordance with the master agreement between Comstock Park Educational Employees Association and the Comstock Park Board of Education.
The final candidate for this position will be required (at their cost) to furnish the district with a current Michigan State Police and FBI criminal records LiveScan check prior to our recommendation to hire.
