Company History:

Jersey Mikes Subs was originally named Mikes Subs which started as a small shop in the seaside town of Point Pleasant NJ. It was unique in that the product offered was a relatively new item in American society the original submarine sandwich.

Fast forward to today and the authentic Mikes Way taste is available nationwide at every Jersey Mikes Subs restaurant thanks to Peter Cancro the Founder and CEO of Jersey Mikes Franchise Systems Inc. Peter started working at the original Mikes subs when he was 14 and purchased the company in 1972 when he was just 17 years old.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers genuinely record ordersandserve food/beverageswith a consistently positive and helpful attitude includinganswering questions about the menu.
• Input orders into a pointofsale systemandaccept paymentusing a credit card reader or cash register whilecalculating change accuratelyand quickly as required.
• As a crew memberprepare cold and hot subs to customer specifications whilefollowingcooking instructions safety proceduresandsanitary requirements.
• Use kitchen tools safely(knives grills slicers etc. while ensuring restaurant cleanliness daily includingclearing and wiping tables sweeping and mopping floors washing and sanitizing utensilsandthoroughly cleaning restrooms.
• Communicate effectivelywith team members and management to creatework schedulesandresolve interpersonal issuesas needed.
• Handle customer concerns or complaints professionallyandin a calm manner while resolving problems according to Jersey Mikes standards and policies.
• Maintain a neat and tidy appearanceby wearing a required uniform and adhering to corporate dress code.

Schedule:

• Flexible: Day shifts Evening shifts Weekday shifts Weekend shifts Overtime etc.

Base Pay and Benefits:

• Starting Wage: $1416 per hour based on experience.
• Standardized handson training program.
• Free sandwich every shift.
• Employee discounts.
• Health and dental insurance 32 hours).
• Opportunities to advance rapidly into Shift Lead Assistant Manager and Manager roles (and beyond including potential franchise ownership someday!.
• Paid sick time.

Supplemental Pay:

• Gratuities: $5$6 per hour (frequently more).
• Hiring bonus: $75 paid after 90 days on the job
• Bonus Program: For each pay period get an extra $1 per hour for being on time for all your scheduled shifts and get an additional $1 per hour if you cover another employees shift (sick calling out).

Job Types: Fulltime Parttime

Pay: $20.00 $22.00 per hour

To keep everyone safe all customers and crew are required to wear masks. Pickup and delivery available. Common surfaces are sanitized on a regular basis.
