The Education Services Substitute Teacher is responsible for filling in for fulltime teachers (K12 in their absence. They must be knowledgeable in the subject matter they are teaching. Position Responsibilities: - Maintain schedule availability to accept teaching opportunities that arise
- Execute daily lesson plans consistent with the teachers guidelines and curriculum
- Adhere to all school policies including emergency protocals
- Take attendance and submit required daily reporting
- Assign homework according to teachers lesson plans
- Supplement lesson plans class activities
- Create and maintain classroom discipline for a safe and productive learning environment
- Additional duties as assigned
Position Qualifications: - Associates Degree or 60 semester hours from an accredited college or university required
- Experienced teacher or substitute teaching
- Advanced competency in at least two subjects; general competency in all others
- Scheduling availability flexibility patience
- Confidence and proficiency in giving instruction
- Superb verbal and written communication skills
- Preferred teaching certificate
- Preferred bilingual (Spanish)
