Overview
Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a Network Administrator in Fitchburg MA. This is an onsite contracttohire position offering great benefits.
Network Administrator to maintain and enhance our network infrastructure. This role is ideal for a midlevel IT professional looking to handle the daytoday operations of a stable and wellmanaged environment. The position requires occasional local travel to our five satellite locations and a preemployment drug screening.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure and maintain network hardware and software including switching wireless LAN management and network access control.
- Incrementally improve network services reliability and security while troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Provide network support across multiple operating systems and hardware platforms.
- Maintain Windows Active Directory and Group Policies.
- Develop and maintain network design and security documentation.
- Draft and update technical policies and procedures.
- Manage multiple projects activities and tasks simultaneously.
- Implement and enforce security change control patch management compliance incident response and access control policies and procedures.
- Administer backup recovery testing email systems web servers internet access office applications and VoIP phone systems.
- Monitor and maintain network security responding as necessary based on company policies and CIO directives.
- Provide customer support and collaborate effectively with IT staff endusers and thirdparty vendors.
- Offer seniorlevel technical hardware and software support for data center systems WAN/LAN networks and company ITsupported devices.
- Coordinate daily scheduled and unscheduled IT operations and maintenance activities to ensure data availability and system stability.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a network environment; healthcare industry experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of network security tools such as antivirus antispyware and antispam applications.
- Proficiency with network analysis and troubleshooting tools.
- Handson experience with Windows Server.
- Understanding of virtualized environments including SCALE Nutanix and Acronis Backup.
- Strong knowledge of security policies and firewalls (CATO Meraki).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook/Exchange O365 and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Azure and Juniper Mist; familiarity with SysAid is a plus.
- Proficiency with Meraki and Dell switching technology and highlevel support.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Teams is a plus.
- Familiarity with Mimecast and Bitdefender is beneficial.
- Experience with VoIP systems including management and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in Active Directory principles and best practices.
