About the Role
The successful candidate will be tasked with performing stock logistic and Imprest duties efficiently safely accurately and in a timely manner. This includes ordering receiving picking and distributing medications to clinical areas. You will ensure Imprest sites are stocked according to predetermined levels and in some areas will restock automated dispensing cabinets.
As a casual you will work shifts covering our store people while they are on leave assist by working on busy days and during busy periods (eg before and after public holidays).
Duties include:
Receiving stock into pharmacy and processing receipt of stock in the pharmacy computer dispensing system
Stock management including stock rotation expiry checking sorting stock packing in alphabetical order on shelves.
Classifications for this position is Storeperson Advanced GK6 $31.65 per hour plus casual loading).
Your Contribution
Completed VCE or equivalent
Able to perform repetitive manual lifting and physical tasks
Great communication interpersonal and arithmetic skills
Accurately and efficiently distribute Imprest supplies to wards and clinical areas including bar code scanning of stock picking and processing requisitions delivery and accurate distribution to wards satellite pharmacies and clinical areas.
Positive attitude and great work ethic
Hospital experience preferred
Fork lift licence preferred
Current Nationally coordinated criminal history check or willing to obtain

About Pharmacy
St Vincents Hospital Pharmacy Services operate within a decentralised pharmacy environment providing services based out of a central pharmacy and supported by a number of satellite pharmacies located in patient treatment areas across the main St Vincents Fitzroy campus. St Vincents Pharmacy Services also span St Georges Hospital Caritas Christi Hospice both in Kew and also external Correctional Pharmacy Services.
We provide a broad range of pharmacy services to inpatients outpatients and correctional facilities within a practice research environment. The pharmacist is a key member of the multidisciplinary health care team which delivers care in a patient focused manner. Pharmacy support staff work closely with pharmacists to ensure that both frontline services and back of house services are delivered in a quality timely and cost effective manner.
