Job Description

This is a PRN Position.
WHAT YOULL DO:
- Providedirect patient care in the clinical setting.
- Communicatewith physicians nurses and other staff about patients clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
- Respondquickly and accurately to changes in conditions of response to treatment.
- AssistPhysician withexamination and treatment of patients.
- Check vitals i.e. height weight temperature and blood pressure of each patient assists with patients medical histories laboratory tests and applies bandages.
- May instruct patient regarding home treatment and perform other administrative tasks such as medical records bookkeeping and answering phones.
- Avoidsupply waste & is cost effective.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an accredited school of vocation nursing preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Six months nursing experience in a clinical setting preferred.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Current Texas or Compact LVN license licensure and current CPR certification required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of accreditation process also necessary.
