Job Description
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
- Perform mechanical skills including but not limited to mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair of production machines and plant equipment
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform require maintenance and service
- Diagnose problems replace or repair parts test and make adjustments
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on production machines and plant equipment
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
- Use a variety of hand and power tools electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Detect faulty operations defective material and report those and any unusual situations to the supervisor
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Remove daily trash to outdoor dumpsters for collection
- Cut down boxes and cartons for trash
- Keep walkways and parking lot free of ice and snow
- Assist shipper/receiver in warehousing
- Organize maintain and store equipment supplies etc. for machine shop
- Organize maintain and store items for recycling and batch shredding
- Place requisitions with Purchasing for supplies and materials needed for projects and repairs
- High school diploma GED or equivalent education
- 4 years of manufacturing experience and/or equivalent production maintenance experience; strong mechanical and industrial skills with HVAC experience
- Must be wellmotivated and able to work independently and with others
