Job Description

THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

At a mental health facility you will provide care and treatment to individuals who have mental or physical illness injury and/or developmental disability or to individuals having difficulty conducting their daily living activities. You will document the consumers psychiatric component of nursing care in correlation with treatment plan performance goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Special Requirements:
  • This position requires active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practice Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the one 1 year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening test.
