ANNOUNCEMENT DATE: January 15 2025 INTERNAL/EXTERNAL
CLOSING DATE: Until Filled
JOB CLASSIFICATION: Classified
JOB TITLE: Custodian
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 5 hours daily 12 months per year
(Evening work)
Rate of Pay: Per current classified salary schedule
Fringe Benefits effective after probation
LOCATION: Globe Unifed School District
REPORTS TO: Maintanence Supervisor
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fulltime custodians perform manual work in the cleaning and general maintenance of buildings and grounds areas. Duties include regular cleanup such as sweeping vacuuming waxing scrubbing polishing floors; washing windows dusting cleaning chalkboards moving furniture emptying trash etc. Other duties include minor repair and maintenance with maintenance supervisors approval. Additional duties will be assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Good physical condition because the work requires considerable activity such as lifting climbing walking pushing pulling stooping crawling etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous custodial experience preferable.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
