Custodian

The State College Area School District is looking for Custodians to provide students staff and visitors with a safe attractive comfortable clean and efficient educational environment.

Qualifications

• Requires high schooldiploma or equivalency certificate (GED).
• Ability to operate all equipment and machinery as required. Equipment to include but is not limited to various scrubbing machines vacuum cleaners mop and bucket lawnmowers tractors snow and leaf blowers and hand tools.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:

• Requires physical exertion to manually move lift carry pull or push heavy objects or materials.
• The abilityto lift at least 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Requires stooping kneeling crawling bending turning and reaching.
• Requires climbing and balancing.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors yearround.
• Must be able to work in and around dust fumes and odors.

Other Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure that all activities conform to district guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community.
• React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.

This is a parttime position with the potential to work up to 40 hours per week paid hourly working various shifts and an opportunity to work towards fulltime benefitseligible openings.

Starting at $17.77/hour.
