Job Summary:
The Automotive Technician conducts inspections tests and data analysis needed to identify and resolve safety performance efficiency and quality issues. This is in addition to routine repair and maintenance work.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs automotive system or component tests to determine performance durability and efficiency.
Gathers and analyzes test data for related systems and parts.
Determines the cause and nature of defects through inspections and testing.
Performs repair and maintenance work in a timely fashion.
Keeps the Service Advisors informed of repair order statuses.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Detailoriented and extremely accurate.
Ability to solve problems.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience preferred but not required. Entry level applicants are encourage to apply.
Associates degree in Automotive Engineering Technology highly desired.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
