As we expand our operations to include inhouse manufacturing capabilities we seek a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead this new venture. Our new stateoftheart facility in Mesa AZ will house advanced CNC and robotic equipment focused on excellence in this endeavor. CNC routers fiber lasers metal punches plate rolling robotic metal forming and robotic welding will be at the disposal of our Manufacturing team.

Job Title: Manufacturing Manager Mesa AZ

Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing and Offsite Construction the Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations ensuring efficient production processes data tracking and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. This role is ideal for an ambitious leader with a passion for growth and a heart for service who has experience managing a Smart Factory with extensive CNC equipment.

The Manufacturing Manager (MM) will oversee and bring clarity and vision to all operations of the Manufacturing shop including CNC programming operations and maintenance production scheduling personnel management regulatory compliance QAQC operations and most importantly Safety.

Duties and responsibilities:

Roles and responsibilities for the Manufacturing Manager will be ever evolving as our operations grow and mature. Immediate responsibilities will include the following:

  1. Leadership and Development: Identify strong candidates for hire inspire mentor and develop a team of skilled manufacturing personnel fostering a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
  2. Strategic Growth: Drive the strategic growth of the manufacturing division identifying opportunities for innovation and expansion internally and externally.
  3. Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
  4. Data and Analytics: Identify key performance indicators for the Manufacturing operations within Dynalectric and devise plans by which to capture convey and analyze this information.
  5. Machine Programming and Maintenance: Oversee and advise on the programming operation and maintenance of CNC and robotic equipment throughout your department.
  6. Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Establish and make accessible QAQC processes and documentation.
  7. Compliance: Maintain compliance with industry regulations and safety standards including but not limited to OSHA UL ISO and CSA.
  8. Process Improvement: Identify and support clearly documenting processes throughout your department. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  9. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials and components for all work in progress and forecasted demand.
  10. Budget Management: Develop and manage the manufacturing budget ensuring costeffective operations.
  11. Communicate Clearly: Establish and maintain clear communication with your direct reports peers and team at large.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience in this space.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing management with a focus on CNC and robotic equipment.
  • Proven experience managing a Smart Factory or similarly advanced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in production planning and scheduling.
  • Proven ability to work in a digital environment while guiding a physical workspace.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in the specialty trades of construction preferred.
  • Experience in establishing new manufacturing facilities is preferred.
  • Technical literacy in use of computers ERPs and digital management platforms.
  • Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in the manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to set longterm goals communicate them to others and pursue them to completion.
  • Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals.
  • Proven record of managing safe operations in active Manufacturing shop(s). OSHA 10 preferred.

Working conditions

Mostly office based. Typical working hours for the Manufacturing Manager may vary. Generally Monday Friday during normal business hours but when deadlines approach they may be required to work much longer hours including some weekend work. May be required to work out of the office and sometimes to stay away from home for short to long periods of time. Some travel may be required for training/continuing education.

While performing the duties of this job the Manufacturing Manager may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles moving mechanical parts and vibration; may be exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites (weather noise etc..

Physical requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Manufacturing Manager to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The Manufacturing Manager is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
