Join the Marshall University Libraries Team! Are you a dynamic and innovative library professional looking to make a real impact Marshall University is seeking a passionate and skilled Collection Manager/Acquisitions Librarian to join our team. This is a 12month Librarian Track position at the Assistant Professor/Librarian II rank. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and management of our diverse library collections playing a key role in supporting the universitys academic mission. What Youll Do: Provide leadership in all aspects of collection development for both print and digital resources. Contribute innovative ideas and make strategic decisions based on academic program needs. Investigate emerging trends in collection initiatives and incorporate them into the libraries framework. Recommend and order materials using reviews and research to make informed decisions. Coordinate trials for new electronic resources in collaboration with other library staff. Work closely with the University Libraries Business Manager on budget management. Contribute to accreditation/program review and statistical reports . Serve as a contact for vendors and publishers establishing and maintaining relationships. Coordinate the management of gift materials. Oversee the organization and weeding of the collection . Participate in campus and university committees.
