Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design planning and of cloud configurations and migration projects. This individual will be responsible for creating migration Scope of Work documents managing cloud migration projects from inception to completion and configuring private cloud hosts. The ideal candidate should possess an exceptional understanding of private cloud virtual platforms networks and VM migrations in both hybrid and multicloud environments. Additionally the candidate must have a strong background in securing cloud environments and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- CustomerFocused VM Cloud Migration Projects:
- Design plan and successfully execute VM migration strategies to move customer workloads into our cloud infrastructure environments (private cloud hybrid multicloud).
- Collaborate with customers to understand their specific business requirements and design tailored migration strategies.
- Develop Scope of Work (SOW) documents outlining deliverables timelines risks and milestones for VM migrations.
- Perform premigration assessments to identify potential challenges and offer solutions to optimize the migration process.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to ensure their expectations are met while providing updates and progress reports throughout the migration process.
- Provide expert guidance and support to customers ensuring smooth transitions into cloud environments with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Private Cloud Configuration:
- Configure and deploy private cloud host configurations.
3.Security and Compliance:
- Conceptual understanding of compliance regulations and practices (PCI PIPEDAetc.
- Implement security best practices for cloud environments ensuring data protection and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with the security team to design secure cloud infrastructure including identity management encryption and firewalls.
- Conduct security assessments and audits to ensure continuous security posture in cloud environments.
Experience:
- Minimum 57 years of experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect or in a similar role.
- Proven track record in leading and managing cloud migration projects from start to finish especially in private hybrid and multicloud environments.
- Handson experience with cloud platforms virtual platforms and VM migrations.
Certifications:
- Microsoft Azure Certification (Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent).
- VMware Certification (VCPDCV or equivalent).
- CompTIA Cloud Certification.
- Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in private cloud infrastructure design implementation and optimization.
- Indepth understanding of virtualization platforms (VMware HyperV vCenter) and cloud orchestration tools.
- Handson experience with hybrid and multicloud architectures (Azure AWS..
- Proficiency in networking concepts VPNs firewalls load balancing Edge Connects and cloud connectivity.
- Familiarity with cloud security frameworks encryption techniques and compliance regulations
Soft Skills:
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to problemsolve complex cloud issues and design scalable solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
Certifications in Azure Vmware and CompTIA Cloud. Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) an asset.
Strong knowledge in IPSec tunnels Azure AWS VMware HyperV vCenter penetration tests VLANs and Edge Uplinks VMware and NSX.
5 years of experience in managing cloud projects with a focus on VM migrations into VPC and Private Cloud Platforms.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
