Employees in this classification functionat a coordinating capacity and perform a variety of duties including the preparation of payroll and a state financialreport that secures funding for the department. Employees in this position also serve as a liaison between fleetoperations and routing services and the district. Performs related work as directed.SUPERVISES:Bus Drivers & Bus AidesPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:1 Serve as a role model for students dressing and grooming professionally demonstrating the importanceand relevance of learning accepting responsibility and demonstrating pride in your position.2 Maintain positive cooperative and mutually supportive relationships with the administration andrepresentatives of resource agencies within the community.3 Assigns and tracks all bus personnel busses and routes for fleet services operations and routing servicesfor assigned compound(4 Generates alphabetical personnel list to track drivers; distributes to appropriate departments; assignsbuses to operators or trips each year(5 Develops and implements student safety programs(6 Conducts inservice training for drivers and aides including but not limited to Skyward Employee LeaveRequests(7 Runs reports and processes payroll via Skyward employee management program(8 Obtains substitutes for absentee drivers to main the smooth operation of pickup and delivery of students(9 Serve as substitute bus driver when necessary(10 Supervises drivers and aides in the absence of the Director of Transportation(11 Resolve parent complaints/concerns as needed(12 Assist Department Director in compiling and finalizing the annual FTE reports(13 Generates bus order list and vehicle list to identify buses and vehicles in daily use(14 Generates trip order list to track trips that are assigned and open; collects verifies and distributes tripchange forms(15 Receives and reviews bus/personnel change forms; verifies that forms adhere to policy(16 Determines and coordinates with Department Director the disposition of personnel transfer requests(17 Prepares Florida Education Finance Funding Report that determines amount of funding received(18 Receives and reviews FEFP instructions and survey forms; reviews for changes; prepares instructionsand forms FEFP with recommended changes; trains personnel connected with FEFP report(19 Produces a statistical report from FEFP to secure funding; sends to Florida Department of Education(20 Reviews new personnel/applicants with Department Director(21 Tracks type and number of trips buses and bus personnel; communicates with dispatchers to provideupdates of personnel/bus changes(22 Operates computer to enter retrieve review or modify data; utilizes word processing database andsoftware programs(23 Operates a variety of machinery equipment and tools associated with department activities whichincludes copiers telephones computers and fax machines(24 Maintain professional competence through inservice education activities provided by theDistrict/Department and/or in selfselected professional growth activities(25 Responsible for keeping up to date on current technology being used by PCSD.
