Job Description

Axcex Media LLC headquartered in Richmond VA seeks a full time Lead Installation Technicianto lead our growing integrated fire alarm and low voltage security systems installation projects.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Our Lead Installation Technicianis an integral part of our field team leading a team through installation troubleshooting and servicing fire alarm monitors low voltage security systems and other fire and life safety solutions projects. We are searching for individuals with astrong work ethic: one who has excellent communication and time management skills values good craftsmanship takes pride in their work and their team and provides great customer service while able to efficiently troubleshoot and offer solutions. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge of Fire Alarm and Access Control systems Notifier Firelite Silent Night etc.
  • Appropriate use of required tools and test equipment such as multimeter megger laptop to program lifts etc. to repair or replace fire alarm system components.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards.
  • Programing and software knowledge with a variety of fire alarm systems used when removing or replacing components.
  • Troubleshoot todeterminefault or faults to include ground faults with fire alarm systems.
  • Repair or replace damaged fire alarm components such as FACP power supply alarminitiating devices notification devicesetc.
  • Lead as ateam playerwith a positive attitude and solutionsoriented mindset.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers as well as offsite monitoring companies in a professional manner.
  • Required to be punctual torequiredwork locations and complete scheduled projects ina timelymanner.
  • Document and track work orders materials needed time on job etc.
  • Ensurecompanyprovidedvehicle is clean and wellmaintainedas required by company policies.
  • Alarm Technicians will be placed in oncall status as required by location to handle emergency service requests.
  • Periodically attend seminars or similar education/training sessions to stay abreast of latest technology codes andstandardschanges.
  • Train service technician trainees all applicable aspects of fire protection.
  • Tool and asset inventory tracking and maintenance.
  • Customer service and satisfaction.
  • Perform other assigned duties as requested by immediate supervisor and/or management.
  • Detailorientedwith demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
BASIC POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Supervisory and Industry experience is required.
  • NICET 1 (minimum) or state specific certification
  • Experience with HILTI or STI systems preferred.
  • 100 Travel. Applicants MUST be able to travel to daytoday job sites AS WELL AS outside their territory for weeks at the timeto meet client demand and deadlines.
  • MUST live in Virginia.
  • Applicants must have reliable transportation.
  • Applicants must have a valid drivers license for at least 3 years.
  • Must have a Clean Driving Record for the past 3 years(No suspensions within the last 3 years).
  • Ability to share a hotel room while travelling.
  • Comfortable with heights and stable on a ladder.
  • Ability to carry 75 lbs.
  • Ability to pass a background check and routine drug tests.
  • Ability to ensure our 100 Tobacco Vape AND Drug Free work environment.
