What You Will Achieve
As a Senior Manager Data Scientist you will provide AI/ML and analytical support of Pfizer R&Ds business objectives supporting the creation and delivery of innovative solutions to complex problems in the research and development pipeline. You will handle individual tasks and lead assigned projects.
Your role will leverage creativity and technical skills. As a technical subject matter expert you will continue to hone your data scientist skills in coding data wrangling and modeling to achieve outputs and collaborate for delivery in a crossfunctional team. As a creative thinker and senior manager you will assist in researching novel models and applications supporting and sometimes leading work to prototype concepts and value.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building AI/ML solutions developing innovative analyses and utilizing data and customer insights to inform decisionmaking. Your strong background in collaborative AI/ML applications and output will be essential.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize AI/ML solutions to address complex realworld challenges applying theoretical knowledge to create and improve practical impactful products and services.
- Maintain a standard of technical excellence ensuring adherence to best practices in architecture machine learning and platform utilization.
- Design develop lead and deliverprojects that incorporate AI/ML analytical reporting and webbased analytics solutions to achieve business outcomes.
- Develop proof of concepts (POCs) and provide a blueprint for implementation.
- Collaborate with partner organizations to develop frameworks data foundations and architectures supporting the strategic vision.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- BA/BS required
- 7 years of experience in AI/ML or Statistics preferably in pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated success developing or embedding algorithms in production applications.
- Diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
- Proven knowledge and experience managing pharmaceutical clinical and scientific data including clinical trial data
- Understands and uses analytical skills/tools to produce data in a clean organized way to drive objective insights
- Proven experience engineering end to end data solutions which cut across data acquisition data lakes web based analytical solutions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
NicetoHave
- Masters or PhD in AI/ML or Statistics
- Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
- Management consultant experience
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry preferably within Research and Development

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120800.00 to $201400.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5 of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
