Job Profile Summary
To proactively monitor and/or control pipelines plants compressors pressures flows tank levels and alarms recognizing and resolving issues by taking necessary action to handle both emergency and nonemergency situations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Coordinate with Operations Commercial Services Commercial Marketing and Engineering regarding information on the pipeline system(s)
Maintain the integrity of the pipeline through remote control valve changes instructing field personnel to make manual valve changes and starting and stopping compression or pumps as necessary
Monitor Alarms and system telemetry status
Build relationships both internally and externally by providing seamless communication
Accurately record and relay information as necessary. Communication can be verbal and/or written
Monitor Microsoft Excel system balance sheets
Ensure that nominations are met and pipeline imbalances are minimized.
Prepare and monitor daily and monthly reports
Comply with all state and federal regulations
Keep coworkers and gas control management aware of pipeline issues and activities
Education
High School diploma or GED required
Work Experience
3 years of industry experience preferably in gas control or field operations

Ability to work a rotating 12hour day/night shift; (including weekends and holidays)
Must work well in a team environment
Must have computer skills
Valid drivers license
Must pass preemployment background which includes driving record drug screen and is subject to random drug testing
Must live within a reasonable distance of work location
Must be able to visually monitor several computer screens in a control room environment for twelve 12 hour shifts. Must maintain a high level of mental alertness and be capable of quickly processing and reacting to incoming information from the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System. Response time is very critical.
