Job Description
JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Job Title: Classified Substitute
Coos Bay School District is currently accepting applications for classified work on a substitute/oncall basis at various buildings throughout the District. Specific duties will depend on area of vacancy. Examples of classified work include but are not limited to:
- Clerical/Secretarial
- Educational Assistant K12
- Educational Assistants Little Pirates Preschool
- Library Clerk
- Custodial
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work with and lead students in group and individual activities.
Instructional and behavioral management skills.
Ability to use current office technology and equipment.
Ability to be professional dependable and selfmotivated.
Have a studentcentered focus.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to work effectively with students families and staff from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
Must be flexible and willing to report to different schools depending on need.
Qualifications
- Must pass criminal background check.
- Completion of required SafeSchools training.
- Must successfully pass preemployment drug screening (screeningdoes not include substancesconsidered legal in the State of Oregon)
