Job Description
Provide technical analysis to support contingency and non contingency DOD Commercial SATCOM (COMSATCOM) operations and planning management and control activities. Provide support for planning and managing requirements for users and payload requirements encompassing legacy to future systems and requirements. Provide support for the development of new operational management planning and control systems tools. Support trend analysis activities and operational deficiency assessments in support of COMSATCOM operations and management. Review all COMSATCOM priorities and provide a weekly priority monitoring list to military monitoring and geographic location resources in order to protect highest priority SATCOM networks. Provide EMI support to mitigate resolve and recover from COMSATCOM interference and support EMI resolution and coordination activities.
Constellation Monitoring: Support COMSATCOM constellation health and welfare monitoring activities. Provide support to mitigate resolve and recover from satellite anomalies. Provide technical input in support of constellation reconfiguration activities. Provide support to maintain contingency plans to optimize the COMSATCOM constellation.
Documentation Analysis and Review: Provide support for the revision of plans policies and documentation to account for future changes in COMSATCOM and commercial satellite payload requirements in support of operational decisions. Provide support for periodic review of instructions for current applicability and accuracy as changes occur to the space segment control segment and terminal segment.
CCMD and Other SATCOM Users Support: Provide support for coordination activities with CCMDs and other SATCOM users to assess availability of Commercial SATCOM requirements to support current and future operations OPLANs CONPLANs and optimization of SATCOM resources for priority missions.
- Documentation Processing: Provide support to produce orders that provide oversight and direction to the COMSATCOM COI. Provide support to post edit and maintain appropriate content on the JFCC SPACE SATCOM website in support of the COMSATCOM mission. Provide COMSATCOM subject matter expertise and document TTPs
Mandatory Requirements
Able to support COMSATCOM constellation health and welfare monitoring activities
Experience at:
