PRN 2 Saturday shifts a monthand ability to pick up other shifts as available.
Position Summary:
Responsible for providing quality client care while maintaining a positive and effective level of interaction between staff members clients family members and other healthcare professionals. Performs duties under the direction of the Occupational Therapist and administers treatment as directed.
Job duties:
- Applies physical therapy procedures to patients through use of therapeutic exercise mechanical traction therapeutic massage compression heat cold ultraviolet light water (whirlpool) and electricity.
- Measures and fits walkers canes crutches and wheelchair and provides instructions on the use and care of these items.
- Provides instruction in transfers activities of daily living gait pulmonary function and the use and care of orthosis prosthesis and supportive devices.
- Performs measurements without interpretation for range of motion gross muscle strength length and girth of body parts and vital signs.
- Modifies treatment program within the limits of the specific plan of care according to the residents needs and response. Reports changes to the supervisor in writing.
- Communicates with staff members and other healthcare professionals on residents status and care.
- Complies with OSHA standards and ensures the safety of residents in their care at all times.
- Adheres to infection control policies professional therapeutic services and Bethany Village standards policies procedures and guidelines.
- Prepares transmits and maintains timely and accurate records to include the initial evaluation progress notes and attendance records.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the organization and all federal and state laws regarding the privacy of protected health information.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the organization regarding the use of technology and technologybased information.
- Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications:
- Associates degree from an accredited PhysicalTherapist Assistantprogram. Current Ohio Physical Therapist AssistantLicense.
- At least three years experience; longterm health care setting preferred.
