Job Summary
We are seeking to fill two 2 Senior Institutional Research Analyst positions. One position will support compliance reporting and the other position will support institutional data requests and external survey reporting. The Senior Institutional Research Analyst positions within the Office of Institutional Success and Decision Support OISDS will work collaboratively as members of the team and will interact with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate state and federal reports external surveys and other institutional data requests and analytical initiatives. These positions require technical skills and/or data presentation competencies plus an understanding of state and federal guidelines for compliance and/or institutional research within an educational environment. These positions must be able to work constructively and positively with functional units and data collaborators across campus with UT System colleagues and federal and state agencies. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Must ensure data integrity and accuracy analyze statistical data and generate reports. Must be able to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on research findings; apply statistical principles and processes to meet a range of information requirements; gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports. Demonstrate ability to prepare written reports and presentations. Must have effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work productively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Must work independently with minimal direct supervision and in a collaborative team environment. Demonstrated experience with analytic research PeopleSoft statistical analysis and the use of statistical analysis software is preferred.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Senior Institutional Research Analyst (Compliance Reporting) Reporting to the Assistant Director Data Certification this position will focus on supporting THECB UT System LBB IPEDS SACSCOC and other external reporting needs. Develop prepare and maintain programs and reports to fulfill the requirements of mandatory state federal and other external organizations while maintaining an understanding of state federal and other external stakeholder requirements for report development and submission. Extract manipulate analyze and report data to internal and external constituencies; manage data; prepare and maintain data files; verify data to ensure data integrity. Develop and implement processes for linking and analyzing data from a variety of sources; apply statistical techniques to analyze trends. Manipulate develop and maintain longitudinal data sets verifying accuracy and consistency overtime in the context of evolving requirements regarding reporting institutional facts. Develop and implement processes for linking and analyzing data from a variety of sources; apply statistical techniques including predictive analytics to analyze trends. Manipulate develop and maintain longitudinal data sets verifying accuracy and consistency over time in the context of evolving requirements regarding reporting institutional facts.
