JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting in preparing and presenting scouting materials and film exchange
- Practice planning and skill development
- Organization of team travel
- Purchasing/inventory of equipment
- Organization of sports camps
- Coordinating visiting team requests
- Coordinating with athletic department personnel and other University units
The Assistant Coach also has responsibility for supervising student managers and other ancillary personnel coordinating team community service and representing the Head Coach at intercollegiate athletics alumni and University events when required.This position also assists with booster club and fundraising activities and performing other duties as assigned by the Head Coach while adhering to all University conference and NCAA rules and regulations and promoting the core values and strategic goals of intercollegiate athletics.
This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check PA ChildAbuse History Clearance Form and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
Penn State Behrends athletic facilities are expanding and updating to keep pace with the growth and success of our intercollegiate athletics programs. We have a lighted artificialturf field soccer and lacrosse complex an eightlane composite track with a separate area for field events in our track and field complex. Our baseball and softball complex has two fields each with irrigation inground dugouts bullpens and batting cages. Our Junker Center has three allpurpose courts seating for 1600 and eightlane swimming pool running track jumping pits aerobics room and strengthtraining room. Penn State Behrend also sits on the edge of Wintergreen Gorge an 1100yearold chasm thats a spectacular backdrop for a run or a hike. Or head north instead; a sixmile paved trail connects campus to Eries downtown and lakefront. Oncampus sand volleyball courts and multiple intramural fields are available for all students to use.

This is an 11month 91.7 fulltime equivalency (FTE) job. Month off is June. Full Penn State benefits included.
