Essential Duties And Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated Biology Lab Instructor to join our department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing four lab sections per week (across a combination of the subjects listed above) and ensuring a stimulating and supportive environment for our students. Laboratory Instruction: Teach and manage laboratory sessions in the designated subjects while ensuring that students receive practical handson learning experiences exploring the content and practicing disciplinespecific skills and techniques. Curriculum Development: Collaborate with faculty to develop and update laboratory exercises and materials that reflect current scientific practices and discoveries. Student Engagement and Support: Provide guidance and support to students through office hours constructive feedback and tailored instruction to enhance their understanding and application of biological concepts. Assessment and Grading: Evaluate student performance and provide timely and constructive feedback.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate degree in Biology or a closely related field. Demonstrated teaching experience particularly in undergraduate laboratory settings. Expertise in one or more of the following areas: botany genetics human microbiology microbiology and/or ecology. Strong organizational and timemanagement skills and the ability to manage multiple laboratory sections effectively. Excellent communication skills and the aptitude to foster a collaborative and inclusive educational environment.
