Job Description
Staff Management Group is seeking a Forklift Operator for our client in Linden NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: 8AM 4:30PM
- Monday Friday
- Plus Overtime
Pay Rate:
- $19 / hour
Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts to load unload and move merchandise within the warehouse. This role requires forklift certification bilingual communication skills and attention to safety protocols.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate various forklifts to efficiently load unload and transport merchandise.
- Move materials and products to designated areas within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklifts before use to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Follow safety regulations while operating equipment to prevent accidents.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate movement of goods.
- Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
Job Requirements:
- MUST be bilingual (English & Spanish)
- Forklift certification is required
- Experience operating multiple types of forklifts such as sitdown standup or reach trucks.
- Attention to safety and the ability to follow safety procedures.
- Good teamwork skills to work effectively with other warehouse staff.
