Job Title: Assistant Superintendent
Location: LaPorte in East Texas
ABOUT US:
Woodward Design Build is a regional leader in the design and construction community with a culture that encourages innovation and offers challenging career opportunities. We are looking for a talented candidate to assist with planning coordination and safe of field operations in our Special Projects Group on projects including demolition excavation foundation and building construction through turnover to the owner/developer. In addition the successful candidate collaborates closely with our onsite subcontractor foremen to create a team atmosphere.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Superintendent will manage and supervise quality control production OSHA regulations and job safety on the project.
Possess working knowledge and the ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
The Assistant Superintendent participates in job meetings with the ability to discuss any issues pertaining to the project.
The Assistant Superintendent must have the ability to monitor and complete the punch list for the project once the Superintendent has been reassigned to the next project.
Knowledge of construction documents scheduling construction techniques and the ability to create as built drawings.
The Assistant Superintendent will be involved in any layout work performed on the site with the ability to interact with the Surveyor.
Fundamental knowledge of computer operations and the following applications: Procore Microsoft Office 360 Apps and Bluebeam.
REQUIREMENTS:

The Assistant Superintendent works under the direction of the Superintendent.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people with different personalities.
Maintain current certifications for first aid and CPR.
The Assistant Superintendent will direct the Special Project Group labor forces to complete tasks on the project.
Able to solve problems generate ideas and make improvements.
Must be selfmotivated organized productive and punctual.
Must have some light industrial experience
