Overview:


Shift will be TuesSat 10am630pm


Job Description Summary:


Collects processes and stores biological specimens for laboratory testing and research purposes. Does not perform hypothesisbased research or analysis on the biospecimens serves as a supporting role to facilitate research.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Collects processes and stores biological specimens according to established protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintains accurate records of specimen collection processing and storage.
  • Ensures that specimens are properly labeled and tracked throughout the collection and storage process.
  • Performs quality control checks on specimens to ensure that they meet established standards.
  • Maintains laboratory equipment and supplies and orders new supplies as needed.
  • Communicates with other laboratory staff and researchers to ensure that specimens are collected and processed in a timely and efficient manner.


Education Requirement:

  • Bachelors of Science or equivalent certification and experience required.
  • Coursework in anatomy physiology statistics and relevant research methods preferred.

Experience:

Two years of laboratory research experience or equivalent required.
