Join our team as a Mobile Plant Operative (FrontEnd Loader) and play a key role in asphalt production at Haywards Heath
Role: Operating inspecting & maintaining mobile plant equipment (FEL dumpers)
Plan daily production
Manage startup & shutdown procedures
Conduct inspections & maintenance
Refuel & operate mobile/static machinery

The primary role entails the operation inspection and maintenance of an asphalt plant to ensure the production of materials that meet the companys stringent quality specifications. This includes the essential task of planning the production for the following day considering customer requirements and the plants capabilities.
It also involves effectively managing startup and shutdown procedures to maximize production within the plants capacity. Furthermore the responsibilities encompass comprehensive inspection and monitoring of the plant adhering to the sites established regimen. Maintenance and repair duties fall within the individuals scope and competence with a strong emphasis on maintaining accurate records in accordance with management requirements. The role also involves the refuelling of both static and mobile machines as well as the operation of mobile plant equipment such as FrontEnd Loaders (FEL) for loading and plant feed and dumpers for mineral movement as directed by site management. Ensuring the safe and proper operation of machinery is of utmost importance. Additionally the position includes conducting maintenance work on both static and mobile plant equipment following the manufacturers guidelines and Heidelberg Materialss standards. Its important to note that these duties may also extend to other Heidelberg Materials sites within a reasonable traveling distance with provisions for transportation or travel allowances in cases where the distance exceeds the standard journey.
Key accountabilities
To operate static and mobile plant in a safe and efficient manner
To maintain where required mobile plant in a good order physically with refuelling greasing cleaning in accordance with the manufacturers and Heidelberg Materials recommendations.
To complete daily inspection sheets of the conditions of static & mobile plant.
To report problems or defects of static & mobile plant to the site supervisor.
To complete near miss reports as required by Site Management.
To operate plant & machinery in an energy efficient manner.
Good timekeeping
Education/Qualification
Good general education required and large amount of health and safety regulations and Quarry Regulations are required to be understood and carried out.
Certification by EPIC to operate mobile plant.

Pay: 12.15ph plus overtime
Hours: 39.5 contract overtime to cover site
