Job Description
SpeechLanguage Pathologist Opening IMMEDIATE
Creative Speech Solutions LLC (a pediatric therapy center with offices located in Summit and Montclair NJ) is hiring a parttime experienced Speech Pathologist to run Saturday Social Skills Groups (SATURDAY ONLY).
Weekly Social Skills Groups are for individuals with learning differences (ages 39. The mission of the group is to improve perspective taking nonverbal communication (e.g. interpreting and demonstrating body language) conversation skills problem solving emotional regulation and flexible thinking. A variety of strategies from different therapeutic approaches and models are integrated into our groups. This group offers individuals a chance to interact with others and develop meaningful relationships.
Candidates interested in this SLP role at CSS are required to have the following:
- Masters degree from an accredited speech therapy program
- NJ State License Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Minimum of two years of work experience in pediatric private practice and/or school setting and also providing therapy or social skills groups to children who are Gestalt Language Processors (GLP).
- Experience creating and running social skills groups and providing therapeutic services for children with delays or disorders in the areas of various diagnosis and development levels
- Effective communication interpersonal and organizational skills and a strong desire to work with children with developmental disabilities
- Patience persistence and ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team
