Encourages parental involvement. NOTE: Duties may require traveling to various sites or classes.Minimum Valid Ohio teachers license or certificate appropriate for the assignment.Qualifications:Meets all mandated health requirements (e.g. a negative tuberculosis test etc..A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.Complies with drugfree workplace rules and board policies.Training and/or experience in behavioral management techniques.ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are representative of performance expectations. Requisitions supplies and equipment. Submits written lesson plans according to building procedures.Varies instructional techniques to address individual learning styles.Reinforces concepts introduced in inclusive educational settings.Implements effective pupil management procedures. Maintains high standards and upholds the student conduct code.Develops and maintains a positive learning environment. Helps parents and students understand academic and behavioral objectives.Facilitates criticalthinking problemsolving and creativity skills.Collaborates with teachers. Watches for conduct that may indicate a problem. Works with staff to eliminate unacceptable behavior.Reports suspected child abuse and/or neglect as required by law.Makes a referral for student assistance/intervention when a need is indicated.Supervises nonclassroom duties when assigned during school hours.Participates in conferences and other required school events.Encourages parent organizations.
