Bristol HSSU Hub Bradley Stoke BS32 4QA) Sterile Services Bank Ad Hoc
12.33 per hour depending on experience
Our Hospital Sterile Services Unit (HSSU) transports sterile and disinfected surgical equipment to our local hospital network. If you have a full driving license with a C1 entitlement which allows you to drive rigid vehicles up to 7.5 tons Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) and hold a digital tachograph card you could enjoy the benefits of joining the UKs largest Healthcare Charity.
A full Driver Qualification card (CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is advantageous but full training is available.
As a Driver on our Bristol HSSU team youre comfortable with manual handling and happy to move transport trolleys weighing upwards of 250kg. As well as a basic knowledge of current driver hour legislation you ideally hold a driver digital tachograph card. Youll be a great ambassador for our unit and our customers first point of contact.
What Were Looking For
- A full driving licence with a C1 entitlement (allows you to drive vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes GVW)
- Confidence in manual handling including moving transport trolleys weighing upwards of 250kg
- Basic knowledge of current driver hour legislation
- A digital tachograph card (preferred)
- A friendly and professional attitude as you will be the first point of contact for our customers
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and deliver medical equipment using 5.2T vehicles
- Receive and check deliveries from customers
- Ensure equipment is in good working order and report any faults
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Keep accurate tachograph records and documentation
