Job Description

Tiny Mighty Communications has partnered with Chaloner on their search for a Vice President of Client Service.

We are hiring a Vice President of Client Service a newly created role that will report directly to our CEO and sit on our threeperson executive leadership team. The overarching mandate of the Vice President is twofold: to serve as a playercoach to our account managers and account teams advising on client strategy staff direction and implementation; while also partnering with the CEO to support the growth profitability and smooth operation of the firm through business development operational support and the implementation of processes and systems that meet the current and future needs of clients staff and the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Staff Leadership

  • Oversee account teams ensuring effective planning and management of client work.
  • Develop account teams to ensure proper staffing and utilization.
  • Help account teams grow and manage key client relationships.
  • Be willing to jump in and support account teams as necessary; bring a playercoach mentality.
  • Mentor train and manage account managers and associates empowering their growth into strategic advisors to their clients.
  • In addition to providing staff leadership this role is expected to bill 6075 of available time for client work and help drive stable account performance and client satisfaction.

Operations and Business Strategy

  • Together with the CEO set and advance the company vision.
  • Help lead the development of the organizations long and shortterm strategies.
  • Interpret the needs of the market and clients to shape where the company operates.
  • Together with the Operations Director identify recommend and implement new processes technologies and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.

Clients Partners and Stakeholders

  • Foster key relationships with clients industry and community leaders and collaborators in new markets.
  • Collaborate with strategic partners of specialized contracted services to carry out the organizations goals and objectives as well as client programs.

Financial Performance

  • Manage client budgets and ensure profitability and financial stability.
  • Review and approve cost control reports cost estimates and staffing requirements for projects and annual engagements.

New Business Development

  • Support new business development and work to generate new revenue with existing clients.
  • Help create presentation materials and participate in client prospect calls and meetings.
  • Support account managers in meeting their own organic growth targets.
  • Drive company marketing at events via social media media relations direct mail etc.

  • Maintain a high level of personal responsibility and ability to complete all work necessary.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree (at minimum) in Public Relations Journalism Marketing Advertising Digital Media or other related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of industryrelated experience with a minimum of three years of communications agency experience required.
  • Businesstobusiness and specific industrial company experience preferred.
  • Prior experience managing teams and leading client accounts.
  • Prior experience managing budgets.
  • Prior experience implementing and using agency management systems highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Routine domestic and international business travel.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
