Job Description
Trek Bicycle is looking for a dynamic driven leader who can facilitate all aspects of electrical compliance for our various products. The ability to research interpret and create necessary strategies to meet applicable regulations is essential. Must be a selfstarter who can identify solutions to the Companys needs with little instruction. This person will report to the Product Compliance Manager and must be able to work crossfunctionally to ensure we successfully meet the relative regulations in requested sales markets.
Areas of Focus:
- Battery powered ITEtype device compliance
- Electric bicycle and component compliance
- Wireless (BLE ANT) and EMC compliance
- Applicable Regulatory manuals labels and packaging
Specific Skills or Knowledge:
- Possess strong investigative research skills and ability to understand regulations and standards
- Ability to present legal and technical details to a wide audience
- Collaborate with engineering to identify and implement product compliance requirements
- Work with global subsidiaries and suppliers in product testing certification and typeapproval
- Assist in coordinating thirdparty testing in global labs and support investigation of failures
- Organize/maintain documentation for compliance (e.g. certifications test reports technical files etc.
- Experience with Radio equipment approvals (FCC IC EU RED KCC Japan Radio Law CMIIT etc.
- Understanding of electrical product safety topics
- Experience working with standards development (ASTM ANSI IEC ISO etc.
- Ability to assist product development teams with compliance budgets and scheduling
- Development of compliance strategies to reduce costs and time to market
General Skills or Knowledge:
- Manage multiple projects at the same time; prioritize and possess a sense of urgency
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle complex issues and provide clear actional advice
- Ability to function effectively and efficiently in a fastpaced environment with multiple priorities and objectives
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Windows Outlook Word Excel SharePoint)
- Possible international travel
Training:
- Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical degree preferred but will consider candidates with equivalent experience.
