As a member of the team you can expect:
Our Maintenance Electrician wage starts at $24.92 per hour. Once the probationary period is completed the wage increases to $ 31.50 per hour. Our Skilled Based Incentive pay model can increase your earnings even further! Employees receive overtime and double time pay for qualifying hours worked weekly. A monthly gainshare bonus can be earned based on personal and plant performance metrics. Our benefits are excellent! We offer paid vacation and holidays. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with Novelis EHS standards policies and procedures and all state/federal regulations
- Participates in the fabrication installation modification troubleshooting maintenance and repair of a variety of electrical and mechanical devices systems and facilities of varying design or complexity including:
- Single & 3 Phase Power Distributions
- Conduit and Plant Lighting
- Single & Polyphase AC and DC Motors
- PLCs
- Interprets blueprints manufacturers specifications written and verbal instructions
- Performs required preventative/predictive maintenance
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment to minimize unscheduled downtime
- Supports and participates in continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintains accurate legible and timely records by completing paperwork as required
- Displays initiative and completes tasks with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrates a positive attitude; has the ability to work in a team environment
- Maintains quality service/product by establishing following and enforcing organization ISO9001:2015 quality system standards
- Provides support as required by performing other duties as requested or assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years industrial electrical experience; ability to pass an electrical test
- Aptitude with industrial machinery & equipment including troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Frequently lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to pass a preemployment background check physical and drug screen
- Understanding of NFPA 70E and NEC
- Ability to work as scheduled (including overtime weekends and holidays) to support our 24/7 operations
- Previous metal rolling mill experience strongly preferred
Location Profile
Opened in 1985 the Uhrichsville facility produces flat rolled aluminum sheet. The rolling mill cold rolls aluminum sheet to a desired gauge anneals to temper levels and slits the rolled sheet to size.
