A wellqualified candidate will be:

  • Comfortable with hands on patient care and ambitious to learn urology and urogynecology procedures.
  • Open to new experiences and new challenges
  • Willing to learn urological and gynecological anatomy and outpatient procedures.
  • Ambitious motivated and sympathetic to our patient population.
  • Willing to travel to where our providers serve patients if needed.
  • A MA CMA or RMA must be a graduate of an accredited school of medical assisting
  • Or a LPN EMT or Paramedic with a WI license

Job Summary:

Provides basic and advanced life support treatment care and evaluation of patients on scene.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifies and may intervene and stabilize the ill or injured patient during intrafacility and/or interfacility transport under the direction and in collaboration with the physician and/or Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Initiates and implements interventions based on team protocols. Monitors records and communicates patient condition and treatment as appropriate.
  • Provides population specific education to the patient and family about the patients illness and therapeutic interventions.
  • Inspects maintains and cares for equipment to ensure safety of the team patients and public.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • May interview patients measure vital signs and record information on patients charts. May prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
  • May perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone maintaining records scheduling patients and filing.
  • May assist with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse. May perform select clinical duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 025 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting reaching and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near 20 inches or less) and far 20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
  • Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms malfunctioning machinery etc.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 2550 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting/moving of patients.
  • Occasional bending stooping kneeling squatting twisting gripping and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Occasional driving.
  • Rare crawling and running.
