Job Description
The EW Division of Leidos is looking for an Electronic Manufacturing Engineer to join our crossfunctional engineering team to implement and ensure Leidos key processes have robust plans to drive quality delivery and cost improvements in manufacturing. The person will manage the manufacturing process that include key processes such as hand assembly PCBA (SMT and throughhole) cable and box build assembly. In addition to manufacturing engineering responsibilities there will be opportunity for some design engineering work (electrical and mechanical).
Primary Responsibilities
Work with internal process owners and suppliers to develop manufacturing processes build instructions and oversee supplier production runs.
Support all aspects of electronic and mechanical assembly including Surface Mount Technology (SMT) throughhole assembly convection reflow wave solder hardware installation cleaning conformal coating potting and box build.
Be familiar with the AS9100 standard and its purpose in an electronic systems product lifecycle.
Develop qualify and document assembly steps and manufacturing processes to fit the requirements of all products.
Support Supply Chain with analysis of alternate electrical components and commodity management.
Identify design procure and validate assembly and test fixtures & tools. Support assembly and test equipment selection process to meet production plans.
Train develop and/or provide work direction to operators and technicians.
Responsible for process documentation and ensuring it is kept current like Work Instructions Standard Work documents PFMEA and Control Plans. Provide design for manufacturability (DFM) input during design and development efforts.
Basic Qualifications
Must have an active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain.
Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO9001:2015
Able to interpret and create/update electronic schematics assembly and fabrication drawings.
Basic working knowledge of CAD software and printed circuit board manufacturing including Gerber files and CAM software.
The ability to rapidly assess analyze and quickly resolve quality problems with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.
Solid organizational skills ability to work and interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Must have product electronic manufacturing experience.
Working knowledge of IPCA610 and JSTD001 workmanship and soldering standards.
Selfstarter with ability to work independently customer service orientated.
US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS in Engineering and 5 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience working with a Contract manufacturer of complex electromechanical systems.
Possess knowledge and experience with the manufacturing inspection and acceptance of Electromechanical systems and/or Printed Circuit Boards of varying complexities.
Direct knowledge of Manufacturing processes and supply chain logistics from raw material to finished goods

Pay Range $89700.00 $162150.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
