Job Overview
We are seeking a Tool and Die Design professional for a midlevel position at our Bangalore office. As a fulltime role you will join our dynamic team to contribute to innovative product designs within the automotive industry. This position requires expertise in tool and die design focusing on fixture and die casting techniques to support our commitment to delivering quality engineering solutions to our clients.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience and expertise in tool and die design particularly within the automotive industry for efficient production processes.
- Strong design engineering skills with proficiency in fixture design to enhance the manufacturing performance and precision.
- Comprehensive knowledge of die casting practices ensuring the ability to produce highquality molds and components effectively.
- Handson experience as a die maker emphasizing craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail in tooling projects.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical documents engineering schematics and CAD files for accurate tool and die creation.
- Familiarity with concurrent engineering practices applying them to ensure efficient workflow and design decisionmaking.
- Strong problemsolving skills and innovative thinking to address design challenges with effective solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey complex ideas clearly across different stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and develop tools and dies that meet project requirements and align with production demands and safety standards.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements and are feasible within manufacturing capabilities.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed tool and die designs ensuring accuracy and compliance with engineering specifications.
- Lead the development and optimization of fixture designs to support lean manufacturing initiatives and improve production efficiency.
- Oversee and participate in the die casting process to ensure highquality outputs meet customer satisfaction standards.
- Engage in troubleshooting and problemsolving activities to resolve design issues and minimize project risks effectively.
- Maintain documentation of design processes revisions and technical specifications for future reference and quality control.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives lending expertise to enhance design practices and project outcomes.
