Job Description

Position Function

This grantsupported postdoctoral position involves in developing CRISPRbased genome editing. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experiences in Singlemolecule biochemistry and cryoEM (or Xray crystallography). There is routine access to singlemolecule and 200 and 300keV electron microscopes. The trainee will interact on a daytoday basis with peers in the areas of genome editing and single molecule biophysics. We aim to provide an interdisciplinary training environment to efficiently convert highresolution mechanistic understandings to novel genome editing applications.

Anticipated Division of Time

Main theme of the lab is to understand the underlying mechanism of RNAguided processes inside the cell.

Requirements

Candidates are expected to have published at least one firstauthor paper in a reputable journal and hold a Ph.D. Strong background in Singlemolecule Biophysics single particle cryoEM (or Xray crystallography) is capable of carrying out macromolecular structure determination independently.Strong background andexperiences inbiochemistry preferably in nucleic acid biochemistry.
