DevOps Systems Engineer TSSCI

Praescient Analytics is seeking a DevOps Systems Engineer to join our diverse team at our Herndon VA office. The candidate will work within a crossfunctional Agile scrum team and will be responsible for integrating and troubleshooting deployed systems working both locally and at deployment sites. The selected candidate will travel to multiple CONUS and OCONUS sites to participate in deployment and integration with external systems performance testing and DoD assessment/acceptance tests. This position is onsite.

The candidate should be willing to spend up to 50 of their time traveling and working at deployment sites. While not traveling the candidate will participate in requirements gathering deployment and testing of containerized systems running in Kubernetes and assisting the Information Assurance team in maintaining security paperwork.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR a Masters degree with 3 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree requirement
Security or equivalent certification and willingness to serve as a privileged user and systems administrator
TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly required (No Exceptions)
35 years administering Linux or other UNIXbased systems
2 years administering AWS cloud systems
2 years working with DevOps or DevSecOps teams in deploying and troubleshooting containerbased systems
35 years creating and maintaining shell scripts to include bash and Python

Preferred Qualifications
2 years administering Kubernetes (Red Hat OpenShift or another variant)
Familiarity with NiFi
Requirements management
Maintaining systems documentation
Familiarity with the DoD Risk Management Framework and systems assessment and accreditation process

Education/Experience:
A Bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR a Masters degree with 3 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree requirement.
